Make sure that the power supply is not connected to the life power while
doing the following steps.
Connect the ATX adapter with one thick two-wire cable with the right screw terminals marked
12V/5A on the electronic. Make sure the colour coding is correct, and you don't connect plus
with ground. At the ATX adapter the cables go to the contacts marked with 12V and GND.
If you have a heated print bed, you also need to connect additional cables from the power
supply to the terminals marked with 12V/11A. For this, remove one or more molex plugs from
the cables of the power supply and connect the black cables to GND and the yellow ones to
plus. It is recommended to connect at least two cables each to make good contact.
Also make sure that the unused red cables stay isolated good and can not make any shorts.
As a last step, secure all cables with cable ties to the rods of the 3D printer and check again
if all axes can move freely over their full range. It is recommended to bundle all cables of the
extruder to one big bundle to reduce the likelihood of entanglement with the cables.
Grease all smooth rods and the z drive rods with machine grease or oil to allow the axes to
run smoothly.
Before you active the electronics, you should check again all cabling, preferably by an
expert.
To commission the machine and get started with printing, please read the general usage
guidelines for 3D printers from 2PrintBeta.
