• Wear personal protective equipment and safety
goggles. The use of personal protective equipment
(dust masks, hearing protectors, helmets, protective
footwear) reduces the risk of injury.
• Avoid unintentional switching on of the power tool.
Before connecting the tool to the mains, make sure
the power switch is in the OFF position. Holding your
finger on the switch or connecting the power tool
when the switch is in the ON position can cause
serious injury.
• Remove all wrenches and other setting tools before
switching on the tool. Left wrenches in the moving
parts of the tool can lead to serious injury.
• Maintain a stable body position while working. This
will allow better control of the tool in case of
unexpected working situations.
• Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose
clothing and jewellery. Keep hair, clothing and
working gloves away from the moving parts of the
tool. Loose clothing, jewellery or long hair can be
pulled in by the moving parts of the tool.
• If it is possible to connect dust extraction and capture
equipment, make sure that it has been installed
correctly. The use of extraction reduces the risk of
dust hazards.
Special safety instructions for using the plaster
grinder.
The appliance may be used by persons without
experience or knowledge if they receive appropriate
supervision or safety instructions and understand the
hazards.
• This power tool is designed to work as a wall and
ceiling grinder. Read all safety warnings, instructions,
illustrations and technical data supplied with this
power tool. Failure to follow the instructions may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
• The grinder is not waterproof and should therefore
only be used for dry sanding. Water penetration
inside the power tool can cause an electric shock.
• Do not use accessories that are not specifically
designed and recommended by the manufacturer.
The ability to connect accessories to the power tool
does not guarantee safe working.
• The rated speed of the accessory must be at least
equal to the maximum speed marked on the power
tool. Accessories running faster than their rated
speed may become damaged.
• The outer diameter and thickness of the accessory
must be within the permitted capacity of the power
tool. Incorrectly selected accessories cannot be
adequately protected or controlled.
• The diameter of the sandpaper discs must be exactly
matched to the sanding pad. Accessories that do not
match the attachment of the power tool will rotate
unevenly, may vibrate severely and cause you to lose
control of the tool.
• Do not use damaged accessories. Before each use,
check the condition of accessories such as abrasive
discs for wear and cracks, sanding pad for cracks,
tears or excessive wear. If the power tool or its
component is dropped, check for damage or install
undamaged
accessories.
After
checking
and
installing the accessories, run the power tool for one
minute at maximum speed with no load.
• Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on
the type of work, use face shield, safety goggles. If
necessary, wear a dust mask, hearing protection,
gloves and a work apron capable of retaining fine
abrasive material or fragments of the workpiece. Eye
protection must be able to stop flying debris
resulting from the grinding operation. The dust mask
or respirator must be capable of filtering out particles
generated during work. Prolonged exposure to high-
intensity noise can cause hearing damage.
• Keep a safe distance from the work area for
bystanders. Every person entering the workplace
must wear personal protective equipment. Parts of
the workpiece or damaged accessories may fall off
and cause injury.
• Place the cable at a safe distance from rotating
accessories. If control is lost, the cable may be cut
or snagged, which could cause hands to be drawn
into the rotating attachment.
