ONFIGURATION
Logical views are a mechanism for grouping tree elements (for example,
devices, configuration templates, and scheduled tasks) in a group of your
choosing. Create logical views to include any managed SNMP device from
any of the root folders. For example, you can create a logical view under
the main
Equipment
folder in the explorer tree to quickly access and view
a specific group of devices organized by device type, geographical region,
and so forth.
Also, you can create a logical view and assign it as the root view for a
specific user. This is a key security feature. Logical views allow a user to
see and manage only those objects (such as devices or templates) in their
root view. For more information, see

Creating a Logical
View
To create a logical view:

In the explorer tree, right-click the
Logical Views
root folder.
A pop-up menu appears.

From the pop-up menu, select
New
and then select
Logical View
. See
