List View

The List view provides an alternative way to view and manage SNMP
devices. For more information, see

Toggling between the Explorer View

and List View

 on

page 170

.

The List view allows you to:

Manage properties

Invoke operations

Filter by class and optional attribute name and values

The Tree menu bar option is not available when using the List view.

Logical Views

In the Explorer view, you can create logical views to quickly access and
view a specific group of devices organized by device type, geographical
region, and so forth. For more information, see

“Creating a Logical

View”

on

page 147

. EMS provides system-defined logical views, which are

created at the discovery time. You can group devices through the use of
equipment folders and then by device type.

Right-hand Pane

Views

The right-hand pane of the EMS GUI main window has two views to
choose between — Properties and Related. For more information, see

“Toggling between the Properties and Related View”

 on

page 173

.

Properties View (default view)

The Properties view contains tabs and attributes for the item in the tree as
selected in the left-hand pane.

Related View

The Related view is the optional view that allows you to see the different
relationships between related elements in the explorer tree. The most
common example of related elements is the relationship between a
specific user and the root view assigned to that user.
