Defining GVRP
GARP VLAN Registration Protocol
(GVRP) is specifically provided for
automatic distribution of VLAN membership information among
VLAN-aware bridges. GVRP allows VLAN-aware bridges to automatically
learn VLANs to bridge ports mapping, without having to individually
configure each bridge and register VLAN membership.
The
GVRP Summary Page
displays the GVRP configuration for ports and
LAGS.
To view GVRP Settings:

Click
Policy > VLAN > GVRP > Summary
. The
GVRP Summary Page
opens:

contains the following fields:

GVRP Global Status
— Indicates if GVRP is enable on the device. The
possible field values are:
■
Enable
— Enables GVRP on the device.
■
Disable
— Disables GVRP on the device. This is the default value.
