This command returns to the Exec mode or exits the configuration program.

This example shows how to return to the Exec mode from the Interface
Configuration mode, and then quit the CLI session:
ping
This command sends ICMP echo request packets to another node on the
network.
Syntax
ping

host_name | ip_address

host_name
- Alias of the host.

ip_address
- IP address of the host.

• Use the ping command to see if another site on the network can be
reached.
• The following are some results of the
ping
command:

Normal response
- The normal response occurs in one to ten seconds,
depending on network traffic.
-
Destination does not respond
- If the host does not respond, a
“timeout” appears in ten seconds.
