column of the Status Summary window. For example,
if a WX switch goes down, its icon turns red. How-
ever, if the MAP or WX switch for a disabled radio
goes down, the radio does not turn red. In addition,
the value in the Status column of the Status Summary
window changes from
Operational
to
Not Applicable
.
(It is normal for a disabled radio’s state to be
Opera-
tional
, since disabled radios perform RF sweeps for
rogue detection.)
This issue is cosmetic only and does not affect other
information displayed for the equipment.
Channel and power assignment use only default
channel and power settings for third-party APs.
(18346)
If you use third-party APs in a coverage area, the
Compute Optimal Power option assigns the default
power setting to the third-party APs. Likewise, the
Assign Channels to MAPs option assigns the default
channel numbers to the third-party APs.
Use coverage visualization to see the coverage, manu-
ally adjust the power and channel assignments for the
third-party APs, then lock the APs in place and use
the Compute and Place, Compute Optimal Power,
and Assign Channels to MAPs options again.
Image files are left over in nonvolatile storage when
a switch is upgraded using 3WXM. (18349)
When you upgrade a WX switch with 3WXM, 3WXM
copies the new image file into the user files area of
nonvolatile storage. The switch then copies the image
file from the user files area into a boot partition. How-
ever, the unneeded copy of the image file in the user
files area is not deleted. The user files area can
become full after as few as three upgrades, making
further upgrades impossible until the superfluous
image files are deleted. This issue does not occur of
you use the CLI to perform the upgrade.
After an upgrade, use the CLI to delete the unneeded
copies of the image files from the user files area. (Use
the
dir
command to display the file names, then use
the
del
command to remove the files.)
