Important Considerations
■
The portGroup (rejdiffportgroup) packet filter rejects a frame if the
destination and source ports are not in the same group.
■
Creating a hardware filter means that the code for the filter is copied
from firmware into non-volatile memory.
■
To verify that the filter has been created, use the
bridge
packetFilter list
command. To see the contents of the portGroup
filter, use the
bridge PacketFilter display
command.
■
The module only creates the packet filter definition. You must still
assign ports and masks to port groups, as described for “bridge
packetFilter portGroup create” later in this chapter, and assign the
standard filter to ports and filtering paths, as described for “bridge
packetFilter assign” later in this chapter.
■
At present, portGroup is the only filter supported in hardware.
