Deletes an entry from the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) cache (for
example, if the MAC address has changed) on a Multilayer Switching
Module.

Valid Minimum Abbreviation

Important Considerations

When you enter the command, the module deletes the entry from the
cache immediately. You are not prompted to confirm the deletion.

■

If necessary, the module subsequently uses ARP to find the new MAC
address that corresponds to that IP address.
