General Requirements
In order to reduce the technically unavoidable residual risk to a minimum, it is imperative to follow
the rules below:
Read all the instructions before operation.
The unit/system must be installed/used in the restricted accession location.
When installing the unit, always make the ground connection first and disconnect it last.
Do not block ventilation openings while the system is on, and keep at least 5 cm distance
from ventilation openings and walls or other things which may block the openings.
Never defeat the ground conductor or operate the equipment in the absence of a suitably
installed ground conductor. Contact the appropriate electrical inspection.
The unit/system must be permanently connected to the protective ground before operation.
The cross-section of protective earthing conductor shall be at least 4mm2.
The device applies to TN power systems.
The plug-socket combination must be accessible at all times because it serves as the main
disconnecting device.
To reduce the risk of fire, use only No. 26 AWG or larger telecommunication line cord.
No operation can be done on the device and cables when lightning.
To avoid electric shock, do not connect safety extra-low voltage (SELV) circuits to telephone-
network voltage (TNV) circuits.
When moving or lifting the router, lift the chassis by grasping its lower edges.
For safety of the user and the equipment, it is not recommended to wear jewelry or watches
during the operation of the device.
Installation, configuration and disassembly must be done only by trained personnel in
accordance with the documents concerned.
The unit/system must be operated by experts and authorized users only.
Any replacement or change to the system or parts of the system (including the software)
must be done by qualified personnel.
Any fault and error that might affect safety must be reported immediately by the user to the
person in charge.
Removal or disabling of any safety features, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the
equipment must be done by qualified personnel only.
All parts of the document must be followed. The document also serves as a guide to the selection
of measuring and test equipment.
