Set up an FTP upgrading environment

The firewall serves as the FTP client and the PC serves as the FTP server.
z
Connect the management Ethernet port on the firewall to the PC using a crossover Ethernet cable.
Ensure the connectivity between the firewall and the PC. In this example, configure the IP address
of the management Ethernet port as 192.168.80.10 while that of the PC as 192.168.80.200.

Enable FTP server on the PC and set the path where the application file is stored. Set the FTP
username and password.
z
The TFTP Server is not provided with the device. You need to purchase and install it.
z
You can upgrade applications of the device through the console port or the management Ethernet
port.
