Description
Card Type

You cannot modify this property.
MAC Address

MAC Address. You cannot modify this property.
Name
The name of the person associated with the telephone
connected to this port. Note that this name appears on
the telephone and in associated lists, so avoid using slang
terms or nicknames.
Extension Number
Contains the extension number assigned by Auto
Discovery. Line card extensions begin at 700 in a 3-digit
dial plan or 7000 in a 4-digit dial plan. Use this field to
re-assign extension numbers. For example, to make the
line numbering more intuitive, you can start with
extension 701/7001 (line 1 = 701/7001, line 2 =
702/7002, and so forth).
Silence Suppression
Specifies whether this port operates under operate sunder
the control of system-wide Silence Suppression settings.
(See
Chapter 4
for more information.)
Choose Enable or Disable to override the System-wide
setting.
Trunk to Trunk
Trunk to trunk refers to an incoming call being transferred
to an outside line. Although Trunk to Trunk
permission
can be granted to individual users through a Class of
Service setting, setting the permission at each line card
port provides a system-level mechanism to enable or
disable this feature.
Choose Restricted (the default) or Unrestricted.
Disable Caller Id
Allows you to enable or disable caller identification for this
port.
Auto Ext
Auto Ext works in conjunction with telephone button
mappings to define where incoming calls ring. If the line is
mapped to a telephone, it rings at that telephone first. If
there is no answer at that telephone, the incoming call
rings at the auto extension specified for the time of day
service mode. (Open, Lunch or Other; see
Chapter 4
for
more information.)
Time Out
The number of seconds that must pass before the
incoming call rings at the specified auto extension.
Note:
This time must be seven seconds or longer for the
system to capture Caller ID.
