Adding External
Hardware
External devices connect to the front of the Network Call Processor. For a
list of external hardware that can connect to the call processor, see
“What External Devices Can Connect to an NBX 100?” on page 42.
Connecting a
Music-on-Hold (MOH)
Input Device
Use a patch cord with phono type connectors (stereo or mono) to
connect line level audio from any audio device that has a line-out jack to
the MOH jack on the front of the call processor.
Adjusting Music-on-Hold (MOH) Volume

Use a Business Telephone to call another extension, and have the person
put you on hold.

While listening to the music, use a small screwdriver to adjust the volume
control on the front of the NBX 100 Network Call Processor until it is
about mid-range.

Adjust the volume control on the Music-on-hold input device.
System Closed
Assigns the System Open feature to the button. This allows
you to implement the System Closed Business Hours setting
by pressing this button.
System Lunch
Assigns the System Open feature to the button. This allows
you to implement the System Lunch Business Hours setting
by pressing this button.
System Other
Assigns the System Open feature to the button. This allows
you to implement the System Other Business Hours setting
by pressing this button.
HG Login/Logout 0-9
Assigns a Hunt Group to the button.
DP 540-549
Assigns a Directed Pickup for an extension to the button.
PG 500-530
Assigns a Pickup Group to the button.
PSD 1-10
Assigns a Personal Speed Dial (PSD) number to the button.
The NBX 100 includes a list of Personal Speed Dial (PSD)
extensions, which can be programmed by either the
administrator or the user. You define the numbers for each
extension in NetSet Personal Settings. You do not need to
specify a
Number
or a
Prty.
SSD 0-10
The NBX 100 includes a list of System Speed Dial (SSD)
numbers, which can be programmed by the administrator
(NetSet System Configuration - Speed Dials). You do not
need to specify a
Number
or a
Priority
.
