NBX ConneXtions
NBX ConneXtions is an H.323 gateway adjunct. It enables the NBX 100
to connect to other disparate H.323 gateways linked into a remote
location’s business telephone system and provide a calling path over IP
networks. The H.323 gateway solution provides similar behavior to
traditional Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOC) tie lines and Off
Premise Extension (OPX) circuits at far lower prices.
NBX ConneXtions differs from other H.323 gateways in that audio travels
throughout the LAN and across the WAN as packetized audio, thus
eliminating multiple digital-to-analog conversions across a
communications path.
