Each device can specify only one DDI/DID Pretranslator and one CLIP
Pretranslator. To create or modify a Pretranslator, you can either edit a
Dial Plan configuration file and import it, or use NetSet and modify an
existing Dial Plan configuration file.
The NBX 100 performs operations in ascending order of operation ID.
Operations are both sequential and cumulative.
Example: If operation 1 removes (stripLead) the first 7 digits from a
10-digit sequence, operation 2 can operate only on the remaining 3
digits, not the entire 10-digit sequence.
You can also use Pretranslators with tie lines to link together multiple NBX
100 systems. Incoming calls within a defined numeric range, arriving at
the first NBX 100, could be modified (through digit manipulation
operations) and routed to a tie line connected to a second NBX 100.
Each example Dial Plan shipped with the NBX 100 includes a default
Pretranslator.
