Select a protocol from the
Protocol
drop-down menu. This menu lists the
currently configured protocols.

Select the appropriate Rule Number from the
Rule Number
drop-down
menu.
When creating a new filter, the
Rule Number
drop-down menu only
displays “
No Rules
.” Once you have created your first rule, the
drop-down menu will then display “Filter Rule 001”,... etc.
To modify or delete a Filter Rule, you would choose the appropriate Rule
Number form the
Rule Number
drop-down menu.
A filter consists of a group of individual filter rules. A filter rule specifies
an action to perform based on certain conditions. These filter rules let you
specify the types of data packets that can travel in and out of your
network. The filter rules work together to monitor and check incoming
and outgoing data traffic on your network. A filter can contain a
combination of input and output filter rules.

Select an action (
Accept, Reject, And
) from the
Packet Action
drop-down
menu. The action you select will be applied to the filter rule selected in
the
Rule Number
drop-down menu.
