If you will be terminating the VPN Tunnel from a Remote Workstation,
select
Terminator
. If you select
Terminator
the VPN Configuration page
will dynamically change to reflect this selection.
Terminator Tunnel Mode
If you selected
Terminator
for your Tunnel Mode, perform the following
steps:

Enter the password for the VPN Tunnel in the
Session Password
field. The
Initiator of the VPN Tunnel will provide you with this password.

Select your IP Pool from the
IP Pool(s)
drop-down menu. This pool
contains the pool of IP Addresses that will be used by the OfficeConnect
Gateway to respond to requests for an IP Address from the remote server.
You must have an IP Pool configured for your VPN. If not, the system will
prompt you to create one and will provide a link to the IP Pools
Configuration page.

Select a workstation from the list of workstations displayed in the
Workstations
list. To select all workstations, click the
All Workstations
checkbox to enable it. This list identifies the workstations on the same
subnet of your OfficeConnect Gateway.
Initiator Tunnel Mode
If you selected
Initiator
for your Tunnel Mode, perform the following
steps:
1
Enter the password for the VPN Tunnel in the
Session Password
field.

Enter the public IP address of the remote server in the
Server Endpoint
field.

Enter a value in seconds in the
Idle Timeout
field. This value will be used
by the OfficeConnect Gateway to terminate a VPN tunnel when the idle
timeout value is exceeded.

Select an authentication protocol for the PPTP connection from the
Authentication
drop-down menu. The default value is
Auto
.
The authentication type must be the same on both ends of the tunnel.

Select an encryption protocol for the PPTP connection from the
Encryption
drop-down menu. The default value is
Auto
.
