14. Unbolt the door. In the adjacent figure, the bolts are
highlighted red for clarity.
15. Start at the bolt in the upper right corner and turn one
time. Proceed counter-clockwise to the next one and turn
that one, continue one by one until you have loosened
every bolt one turn.
16. Continue going from bolt to bolt, loosening a little more
each time you make the round. When all bolts are loose,
click on
Confirm bolts are unscrewed
. This will bring the
process chamber to atmospheric pressure.
17. A pop-up window on the PC will confirm you can open the
door.
13. Click the
Start unlocking
button.
18. Loosen the 4 corner bolts with a 5 mm hex key to remove
the build plate.
Note: Make sure to store the hex bolts for later
use.
Caution: the build plates are quite heavy. Adding
newly built parts to that weight, makes them even
heavier. Pay attention not to pinch your fingers
when taking out the part.
Caution: Hitting the printer module with heavy
metal objects, for example a build plate, may
cause the printer module to magnetize. This may
influence the powder and thus build quality. Avoid
hitting the printer module with metal objects at
all time.
