8. Additional Printer Operations
ZPrint evaluates the geometry of the part to determine if there
are enough materials to complete the build. ZPrint will alert you
in the
Printer Status
Dialog when any materials need replen-
ishing. You cannot start the build until you add the needed mate-
rials.
8.1 Add Powder
If there is not enough powder in the Feeder, ZPrint displays
ADD
POWDER
in the
Printer Status
dialog.
Important:
Do not add powder to the Feeder unless you are
prompted to in the ZPrint
Printer Status
dialog.
To add powder, follow the steps below.
1.Before unsealing the powder
canister, turn it upside down
and shake to loosen the powder
inside.
2.Check the expiration date.
3.Open both top covers on the
ZPrinter 650 and place the
powder canister in the Post-
Processing Unit.
4.Remove the gray sealing cap
from the top of the canister.
5.
Insert the vacuum hose into the hose fitting located on top
of the canister.
6.
Select
VACUUM
on the LCD menu. The vacuum automati-
cally shuts off when the Feeder is full, or the canister is
empty. When the Feeder is full, the LCD displays
FEEDER
FULL
.
TIP:
To check that powder is getting into the Feeder, look at the
Debris Separator. You will see powder moving through the win-
dow when the vacuum is running.
7.
Remove the powder canister and return the vacuum hose to
its stand.
