Operation
Introduction
This chapter includes detailed information on how the control software of the
Pannoramic® DESK
FLASH DX works, what features are available and how it should be operated by the user.
Safety
Warning!
Before operating the
Pannoramic® DESK FLASH DX
, the user must strictly observe all the
safety procedures that are described in chapter
3 Safety
. These instructions must be
followed during operation. If the user operates the
Pannoramic® DESK FLASH DX
without
fully understanding the operating instructions and safety procedures, the risk of causing
harm will become so high, that it can lead to serious or fatal injury to the person and to
clinical misdiagnosis or mistreatment of the patient.
Warning!
Before operating the
Pannoramic® DESK FLASH DX
, the user must check that the periodic
maintenance tasks have been performed. For more information on these tasks, refer to
chapter
10 Maintenance
.
Image quality
The overall quality of the created digital image as the result of scanning is affected by
several components, such as condition of the sample/tissue, the properness of slide
preparation, and the settings used for scanning.
Warning!
In all cases, the user must always ensure that the quality (and the aspects such as average
focus, contrast, stain color, tissue area) of the generated image is adequate for making a
final diagnosis.
