Wire Management and Splicing
a.
Do all cable splicing work from the back of the
cabinet. If the back is blocked, all work must be
done through the front with the frames lowered.
b. There are two Tie Off Bars mounted in the large
cabinets and three bar positions on the cabinet
side walls. Adjust the bars to the best conductor
and connector positions. Bundle, tie wrap and
secure the wire groups of the existing frame so
that it will pivot down.
c.
The new Self-Strip frames must be accessible
and should be spliced and tie wrap so they can
be pivoted down.
d. Tie off slack and splice cables according to your
Company procedure. Use the tie bars and tie
points in cabinet as needed.
e.
Splice the rear side of the double sided new
cabinet by splicing the left and right outside
frames first, then splice the middle frame of
the cabinet. Bundle and store the frame's wire
groups according to your companies procedure
so these frames can pivot down.
