Step 4 – Configure the Tracking Pad software
Once the Tracking Pad is connected, start your computer and use the
Tracking Pad software to select the serial port where the Tracking Pad is
connected.
Do not change any of the other settings unless told to do so.
Refer to the User Guide delivered with your system for instructions on
how to set up the software for and test the Tracking Pad.
Section 3 – Using the 3M™ RFID Tracking Pad
Once the Tracking Pad is connected, refer to the User Guide delivered with your system
for instructions on how to configure and use the Tracking Pad for your application.
CAUTION
To reduce the risks associated with repeated body movement, which, if not
avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury:
Operation of the Tracking Pad may involve repeated body movements. To
minimize possibility of Repetitive Stress Injury, avoid prolonged repetitive
movements, rest when becoming fatigued, and when possible, alternate job
functions with other people. It is recommended that the user avoid awkward
reaching for items.
To reduce the risks associated with environmental contamination from circuit
boards containing lead-bearing solder within the Tracking Pad and RFID
Reader, which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury:
At the end of service life, dispose of the Tracking Pad and RFID Reader
according to federal, state and local requirements.
