c. Disconnect other end of the breathing tube from the PAPR unit.
d. Flush the breathing tube with mild soap and warm water. You
may disinfect with3M™ Twist ‘n Fill™ 5L quat. Follow product
user instructions for Twist ‘n Fill 5L quat. An alternate cleaning
and disinfecting solution is hypochlorite solution (1 oz. [30ml]
household bleach in 2 gallons [7.5 L] of water).
e. Flush the breathing tube with warm, fresh water and let it drain
until the dripping stops.
f. Immediately connect the breathing tube to an assembled PAPR
unit and run the system for a minimum of 1/2 hour with the
breathing tube hanging downward (the breathing tube can also
be hung vertically and allowed to air dry in uncontaminated
atmosphere, temperature not to exceed 120°F (49°C)).
g. Wash the battery pack in warm soap and water. Disinfect the
battery by wiping it with a sponge or soft cloth dampened with
3M™ Twist ‘n Fill™ 5L quat. Follow product user instructions for
Twist ‘n Fill 5L quat. An alternate cleaning and disinfecting
solution is a hypochlorite solution (1 oz. [30ml] household
bleach in 2 gallons [7.5 L] of water). Take care not to let water
drip into the connection
h. Rinse the battery with fresh water and allow it to dry.
i. Do not immerse the battery pack and take car not to let water
enter the connections. Rinse with fresh water and allow to dry.
j. Wash the PAPR unit with warm water and mild detergent
solution. Do not immerse the PAPR unit. Be careful not to let
any of the cleaning solution enter into the PAPR unit.
k. Sanitize the turbo PAPR unit by wiping it with a sponge or soft
cloth dampened with a hypochlorite solution (1 oz. [30ml]
household bleach in 2 gallons [7.5 L] of water). An alternate
cleaning and disinfecting solution is 3M™ Twist ‘n Fill™ 5L quat.
Follow product user instructions for Twist ‘n Fill 5L quat.
l. Wash the belt in soapy water. You may disinfect the belt using
3M Twist ‘n Fill Quat Solution or a 1 to 4 household bleach.
m. Air dry in an uncontaminated atmosphere, the temperature
must not exceed 120°F (49°C).
