Limitation of Liability
Except where prohibited by law, 3M ESPE will not be liable for any loss or damage arising
from this product, whether direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential, regardless of
the theory asserted, including warranty, contract, negligence or strict liability.
Care, Maintenance, and Handling of the Lava C.O.S.
Follow these guidelines when using the device:
•
The device is to be used only by qualified operators who have been trained by 3M
ESPE.
•
Keep the cooling vents, located on the rear of the Lava C.O.S., clear of lint and
debris. Do not allow the vents to be blocked.
•
The air inlet slots, which are located on the side panels at the front of the Lava
C.O.S., should remain free of dust. Vacuum these slots at least annually to remove
any accumulation of dust.
•
Deploy the caster locks to lock the wheels of the cart in place.
•
Store and use the Lava C.O.S. within prescribed temperature, humidity, and altitude
limits. (Refer to “Equipment Specifications and Classifications.”)
Cautions and Warnings
•
WARNING: Do not place the cart on a slope greater than 10 degrees.
•
CAUTION: Do not break or alter any existing connections on the Lava
C.O.S., for example, the connection between the device and the display screen. The
only exception is the wand, which must be unplugged for cleaning and disinfection.
