Visor and the powered air
fi

Adjust and
fi

fi
lter unit/supplied air regulator as outlined
in the appropriate User Instruction.
3.
The Visor must be adjusted to the user’s head and face shape to give
the correct protection factor. The headband in the Visor can be adjusted
for height and width, to make the Visor comfortable and stable on the
head. The face seal, which must always be used, can be adjusted to
suit the shape of the user’s face. There are four adjustment positions
on each side,
fi
g C:1. Adjust the face seal to get it to rest against your
face, with a comfortable pressure on your temples. If the face seal
does not make contact with your face, you will not get suf

cient sealing
needed to offer the correct protection factor.
4.
Ensure at least minimum air
fl
ow into the Visor is achieved and adjust
for maximum comfort – see appropriate User Instruction.
The head cover must always be used to avoid spatter from entering into
the visor (visor shade DIN 5).
Use of the Visor with the air
fi
lter unit/supplied air regulator in the off state
is not normal, little or no protection is provided, vacate the contaminated
area immediately.
Do not remove the visor, switch off the air
fi
lter unit or turn off the air
supply until you have vacated the contaminated area. If during use the air
supply stops or is reduced, vacate the contaminated area immediately and
investigate the cause. An assessment of the Visor´s continuing suitability for
use should be made during pre-use inspection and regular maintenance.
The Visor is intended for use in the temperature interval from -5°C to +55°C.
At temperatures below +10°C, the air inside the Visor can be perceived
cold.
The "in-use" life of the Visor will vary with the frequency and conditions
of use. It is anticipated that the Visor will give at least 5 years service,
however, some extreme conditions may result in deterioration over a
shorter period.
