AM04-1 Sensitivity Adjustment
The adjustment of AM04-1 is very easy. There are only two potentiometers on PCB. These
adjustments are R31 (Sensitivity) and R87 (Volume). Both of these adjustments will increase the effect
on the system when turned to the right (clockwise).
SENSITIVITY
The R31 adjustment varies the gain or sensitivity of the PCB. Hold the label or tag in a side carry at the
desired detection distance
,
and then turn R31 clockwise until detection is made.
MAXIMUM SENSITIVITY
Use a multimeter to connect to TPD
,
(Red Probe) and G N D (Black Probe)
,
then turn R31 and make
sure the voltage at this test point is never higher then 90mV
,
60-90mV is ideal.
A too much higher DC Noise (More then 90mV) will cause false alarm.
Sometimes, the detection at(under) 90mV may better then over 90mV(such as 120mV).
VOLUME
The R87 varies the volume of the sonalert or alarm sounder for the desired effect. Turning this
adjustment to the right (clockwise) will increase the volume of the sounder.
