Instructions for working with the product
The intended use is allowed for products that have been put into operation, pre-tuned, calibrated
and run through the process. The fact of commissioning shall be evidenced by the act of acceptance of
the product into operation and the corresponding entry in in clause 11 "Certificate of acceptance" of this
document.
6.1 Operational limitations
6.1.1 Automatic meteorological stations «SOCOL-M1» are designed for continuous round-the-
clock work with periodic transmission of information messages according to the established schedule.
Operation of «SOCOL-M1» is allowed under conditions not exceeding those specified in Table 8.

6.1.2 The batteries must be fully charged before the weather station can be operated in the open
air (see section 6.9 Charging the Battery).
6.1.3 Uninterrupted operation of the weather station at long temperatures below zero is
guaranteed only if an external power supply is available.
6.1.4 It is not recommended to open the case «SOCOL-M1» in bad weather conditions (rain, dust
in the air, etc.).
6.1.5 The lightning protection of the weather station is provided by the consumer.
6.2 Safety measures when preparing the product for operation
6.2.1
Certain safety measures shall be observed during installation, start-up, regulation and
run-in of SOKOL-M1.
6.2.2
The work on installation, start-up, regulation, running-in and operation of the product
may be performed by persons having the necessary qualification and trained in safety rules when
working with electrical installations of consumers up to 1000 V.
6.2.3
To ensure safety when working with the product it is necessary:

Ground the housings (through the grounding terminals) of all units, which are supplied
with AC voltage over 42 V or DC current over 110 V;

repair only when the power supply is switched off;
—
IT IS FORBIDDEN TO CHECK THE PRESENCE OF ELECTRICAL VOLTAGE ON
THE TERMINALS AND CONDUCTORS BY TOUCHING THEM BY HAND OR CONDUCTIVE
OBJECTS, AT THE SAME TIME TOUCHING THE CONDUCTIVE AND GROUNDING PARTS
OF THE PRODUCT, AS WELL AS UNINSULATED AND FAULTY WIRES;
