4.1.3 Management Services
For the purpose of easy maintenance, SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and remote syslog services
are provided in EAP100. The system will be managed remotely in a centralized manner.
VLAN for Management
: The management traffic from the device can be tagged with VLAN ID. If the option is
enabled, the VLAN ID can be chosen from 1 to 4094.
SNMP Configuration
: By enabling SNMP service, the remote SNMP manager can obtain EAP100’s system
status.

: Specify the password for

Trap
:
Enable or Disable the feature. When enabled, events on Cold Start, Interface UP & Down and
Association & Disassociation can be reported to an assigned management station with specified

Syslog Configuration
: By enabling this service, specify an external syslog server to accept syslog messages
from EAP100 remotely. Thus, by reading the syslog message in the remote server, the administrator can
review activities of all installed EAP100s in the network.
Server Port
: The port number of the server.
Log Level
: Select the desired level of received events from the drop-down list box.
