If the ALS is mounted on the curtain wall, then a cable must be used to connect the
ALS board to the APS. The wiring for this cable is as follows:

Shielded data cable should be used, with the shield connected to pin 1 at the APS

Pindication Cable
In order for pindication to appear on the screen on systems using an APS, an
additional cable must be connected between the APS and the ALS board.
Alternatively, the firmware within the APS can be changed. See the chapter on
connecting an APS for more information
The cable must connect to a serial port on the computer that is configured for
COM1. The port may have either a 25 pin or a 9 pin connector. The other end of
the cable connects to P1 and P4 on the APS.
