Troubleshooting Guide
PROBLEM DEFINITION
POSSIBLE REASONS
SOLUTION
No water comes out
Unit does not work
• Electric power is wrong.
• Power cord is damaged.
• Fuse is out.
•Check the electric power of the unit and make sure that it complies
with your electric power.
• Replace with original A.O.Smith cord.
• Change with a new fuse.
• Unplug the power cord. When the water is supplied again, use the
unit again.
• If there is a bending in connecting hose, straighten the part.
• Check filter replacement cycle and contact customer service center
•If low pressure water is supplied to the unit, less amount of filtered
water is produced.
• Replace filter.
• Check water leakage.
• Check voltage rate.
• Check if cold water switch at the back of the unit is on.
• Supply water and fill the storage tank.
• Maintain at least 20 cm from the Wall for a good ventilating.
• Temperature of supplied water should be below 30 °C.
• Check voltage rate.
• Check if hot water switch at the back of the unit is on.
• Supply water and fill the storage tank.
• After turn the hot water switch off, contact customer service center.
When water tank is overheated, the temperature controller cut off the
power supply to heater.
• Water supply cut off.
• Connecting hose is bended.
• Filter need to be replaced.
• Low pressure feed water.
• Filter need to be replaced
• Connecting tube is loose.
• Low Power supply.
• Cold water switch off.
• Water level is low.
• Airing of the back side is not enough.
• Temperature of supplied water is so bad.

• Shut down by temperature controller or heater malfunction.

• Too much water consumption.
• Poor water pipe connection
• When much of water is continuously taken from the unit,hot & cold
water temperature become abnormal. Do not take water from the unit
for 5~6 mins, then you can takenormal hot & cold water.
• Check the water pipe. If loosen, tight the connections. In case of the
leakage continues, close the water supply valve and contact customer
service center.
