General:
• Address reported problems
• Inspect interior; clean and
vacuum if necessary;
• Clean condensate trap and

with fresh water
• Check for leaks (water, gas,

ue, condensate)
• Verify

ue and air lines in
good condition and sealed
tight
• Check system water pressure
and expansion tank
• Check control settings
• Check ignition and
fl
ame
sense electrodes (clean
off any deposits; clean and
reposition)
• Check wiring and connections
• Perform start-up checkout
and performance veri
fi
cation
per Section 10 of this service
handbook.
• Flame inspection (stable,
uniform)
• Flame signal (at least 10
microamps at high
fi
re)
• Clean the heat exchanger
if
fl
ue temperature is more
than 54°F above return water
temperature.
• Check Delta T (Temperature
Rise). Refer to Table 7 in this
Service Handbook.
If combustion or performance
indicate need:
• Clean heat exchanger
• Remove and clean burner
using compressed air only
