Chapter 3  Award BIOS Setup

  When Enabled, any video active restarts the global timer for

standby mode.

Soft-Off  by  PWR-BTTN

   

Instant-off  :

  When  push   the  power   button,   the  system

power will be off immediately.  

Delay 4 sec :

  when push the power button, it will

enter suspend mode. We need to push the power button and hold it for 4 seconds to
turn off the power.  

CPUFAN Off In Suspend

   Enabled: under suspend mode, the CPU FAN will be

turned off. Disabled: the CPU FAN won’t be turned off.

  Enabled: when system is in suspend mode, it can be waked up by

modem. Disabled: it cannot be waked up by modem. 

Resume   by   Alarm

    When   Enabled,   two   additional   lines   will   be   added   to   the

screen :Date (of Month) Alarm; Time (hh:mm:ss) Alarm to let user set the desired
date   and   time.   After   power   off,   the   system   will   automatically   power   on   at   the
specified date and time.

PCI PME# Function

  With PCI card supporting PCI Power Management capability

and this item setting to Enabled, the system can be waked up by PCI card.

IRQ 8 Break Suspend

  When enabled, the device which occupies the IRQ8 can wake

up the system.

Reload  Global Timer Events

   When enabled, an event occurring on each device

listed   below   restarts   the   global   time   for   Standby   mode.   IRQ   [3-7,   9-15],   NMI;
Primary IDE 0; Primary IDE 1; Secondary IDE0; Secondary IDE1; Floppy Disk;
Serial Port; Parallel Port
