Advanced menu
The Advanced menu items allow you to change the settings for the CPU and other
system devices.
Be cautious when changing the settings of the Advanced menu items. Incorrect
field values can cause the system to malfunction.
3.3.1
ACPI Settings
ACPI Sleep State [S3 only(Suspend to RAM)]
Select ACPI sleep state the system will enter when the Suspend button is pressed.

CPU Configuration
The CPU Configuration page displays information about the installed CPU.

IDE Configuration
While entering Setup, the BIOS automatically detects the presence of SATA
devices. The SATA Port items show
Not Present
if no SATA device is installed to
the corresponding SATA port.
OnChip SATA Type [Legacy IDE]
Allows you to set the SATA configuration.
[AHCI]
Set to [AHCI] when you want the SATA hard disk drives
to use AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface).
AHCI allows the onboard storage driver to enable
advanced Serial ATA features that increases storage
performance on random workloads by allowing the
drive to internally optimize the order of commands.
[Legacy IDE]
Set to [IDE] when you want to use the Serial ATA hard
disk drives as Parallel ATA physical storage devices.
