Contacts
This chapter describes how to manage contacts.
From the contacts menu,
you can call, add, edit, and remove
contacts.
•
For information on how to copy corporate directory contacts to your
personal contacts, see 12.5 Corporate Directory on page 79.
•
For information on how to copy Microsoft® Outlook® contacts to
your personal contacts, see 12.6 Microsoft® Outlook® Contacts on
page 80.
Note:
The phone can hold up to 1,000 contacts.
12.1
Dial a Contact
There are two ways to open the contact list to make a call to a contact;
either by pressing and holding the first letter of the contact name, or by
opening the contact list and finding the desired contact.
To dial a contact from the contact list, do the following:
1.
Press and hold the numeric key (2-9) with the initial letter of the
name of the contact you wish to call.
OR
Press
to open the contact list.
2.
Navigate to the desired contact and press
Call
.

Search
To search a contact from the
idle screen
, do the following:
•
To find all contacts beginning with the letters A, B, or C, press and
hold the numeric key 2. To find all contacts beginning with the
letters D, E, or F, press and hold the numeric key 3, and so on.
Note:
When you hold and press a numeric key, the contacts list
opens, and from here you can specify your search, see below.
To search a contact from the
contacts list
, do the following:

To find all contacts beginning with letter A, press 2 once, and to find
all contacts beginning with letter B, press 2 twice, and so on.
