Description
Position
On the drive end (DE) of the motor, pointing directly towards
the bearing.
Motor Drive End
Horizontal
On the Non-Drive End (NDE) of the motor, pointing directly
towards the bearing.
Motor Non-Drive End
Horizontal
On the DE of the motor, pointing in the direction of the shaft.
Motor Drive End Axial
On the NDE of the motor, pointing in the direction of the shaft.
Motor Non-Drive End Axial
On top of the bearing housing, pointing directly towards the
bearing. This sensor should be mounted at an angle of 90
degrees to the DE Horizontal sensor.
Motor Drive End Vertical
On top of the bearing housing, pointing directly towards the
bearing. This sensor should be mounted at an angle of 90
degrees to the NDE Horizontal sensor.
Motor Non-Drive End
Vertical
Mounted perpendicular to the shaft direction near the center
of the rotating machine.
Motor Body Horizontal
Mounted perpendicular to the shaft on the top/foundation of
the rotating machine.
Motor Body Vertical
