Using the rubber membrane plate
The rubber membrane based cable entry plate can be used to mount cables without
connectors into the DAU unit. At the cable entry plate front there are pierceable
membranes for various cable diameters. On the back of the plate, there are conical
cable sleeves for double sealing of the cables.
To mount a cable into the cable entry plate,
1.
Pierce the rubber membrane using a screwdriver to make a hole for the desired
cables, as shown in the below figure.
Note: The below figure is the top view of the membrane.
WARNING! Handle screwdriver carefully. Keep your fingers away while
piercing the rubber membrane.
2.
Push the cable through the rubber membrane and attach the gasket, as shown
in the below figure.
Note: The below figure is the bottom side view of the membrane.
For mounting multiple cables, use appropriate membrane holes so that the cables
are placed in correct order without overlapping on top of each other. See the
example of correct mounting in the below figure.
Use correct cable diameter to match holes on the thin membrane. Do not pierce
hole outside the thin membrane because it can tear the rubber membrane and
cause uneven mounting of cables. See the example of correct and incorrect
mounting in below figures:
