ATTENTION

For installations in Zone 0 and Zone 20 environments,
the mounting piece must be grounded via a wire or
with the help of the spike. Please

verify that the mount-

ing piece is grounded

 by measuring the resistance

between the motor frame and the mounting piece.

Step 1

Degrease the upper and lower surfaces of the selected
fins at the recommended mounting position.

CAUTION: REVIEW AND FOLLOW ALL MANUFACTUR-
ER’S INSTRUCTIONS AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WHEN USING DEGREASING AGENT.

Installation steps

•  Degreasing agent
•  Rubber gloves
•  Safety goggles
•  50 mm hex bit and suitable wrench
  • 3/16“ for ¼” – 28 screw
  • 5 mm for M6 screw
•  Rubber mallet

Step 2

Apply Loctite

TM

EA 3463 or similar putty to the end of

the wedge mount. The picture shows the minimum
amount of glue required. If grounding of the moun-
ting piece is required, do not cover the spike at the
end of the mount with glue. This spike is used to
ground the mount to the motor frame. Alternatively,
the grounding can be done by attaching a wire to the
M3 screw in the mount.

CAUTION: REVIEW AND FOLLOW ALL MANUFACTUR-
ER’S INSTRUCTIONS AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WHEN USING GLUE.

WARNING
Direct skin exposure to solvents and/or threadlocker
could cause discomfort or injury, including, but not
limited to, burning or skin irritation. Use appropriate
protective gloves and goggles when following these
instructions.
