Motor and motor cable
1. Check that the motor cable is disconnected from the drive output terminals U2, V2 and
W2.
2. Measure the insulation resistance between each phase conductor and the Protective
Earth conductor using a measuring voltage of 1000 V DC. The insulation resistance of
an ABB motor must exceed 100 Mohm (reference value at 25 °C or 77 °F). For the
insulation resistance of other motors, consult the manufacturer’s instructions.
Note
:
Moisture inside the motor casing will reduce the insulation resistance. If moisture is
suspected, dry the motor and repeat the measurement.

Checking the compatibility with IT (ungrounded) systems
EMC E202 is not suitable for use in an IT (ungrounded) system. If the drive is
equipped with E202, disconnect the filter before connecting the drive to the supply
network. For instructions on how to do this, contact your local ABB representative.
WARNING!
If a drive with EMC E202 is installed on an IT system (an
ungrounded power system or a high resistance-grounded [over 30 ohm] power
system), the system will be connected to earth potential through the EMC filter
capacitors of the drive. This may cause danger, or damage the unit.
Attaching the device stickers to the cabinet door
A multilingual device label sticker is delivered with the drive. Attach the stickers in the local
language on the English texts; see section

).
Checking the settings of transformers T21, T101 and T111
Check the tap settings of all auxiliary voltage transformers. Transformer T21 is standard
equipment; T101 and T111 are present if required by the selected options.
The voltage settings of transformers T21 and T101 are made at terminal blocks
T21_X1/X2 and T101_X1/X2 respectively. The settings of transformer T111 are made on
the transformer itself. The locations of the transformers and the terminal blocks are shown
in section
