DOWEL PINS INSERTION.
When the motor design provides the dowels pins
between the frame and the basement, the pins must
be positioned and fixed. It is also good practice, in
every case, to fix the axial and lateral position of the
motor with jig locators. The dowel pins insertion shall
be done after the positive result of the alignment
operation and the check at "warm" condition, after the
motor and the driven machine have reached their
working steady state temperature.
BELT DRIVE
Motors with belt drives are always equipped with
cylindrical roller bearing at the D end.
Do not exceed the design radial force indicated by the
specific technical documentation.
Make sure that the driving and the driven pulleys are
correctly aligned.
