Battery temperature sensor
15.3.1 Functions
The option Battery Temperature Sensor, if correctly installed has the following two functions:
1. Allows the battery temperature to be shown in the menu of the LCD display (see chapter 5.2.2.3)
2. Allows the battery charger to automatically and continuously compensate the charging voltage ac-
cording to the values:
2.30 V/cell @15°C

15.3.2 Battery temperature probe installation
The sensor comes with a 1.8m cable, if a longer cable is needed, it can be extended up to 15m. First de-
fine the position of the sensor, it is best to put it where the temperature gets higher (typically it’s on
the top of a battery cabinet or UPS internal battery (or even battery room).
Then, thread the wire by fixing it along the way and connect the two ends of the cable by plugging them
into the customer interface (see chapter 5.3) on the pin X3/13 and X3/14. The polarity does not matter
(not important which end is connected at X3/13 and which at X3/14).
