6.2.1 Soft Calibration
Function
This chapter includes information about when and how to calibrate the robot system.
The new fine calibration feature has been created to make the calibration easier
using an automatic process.
When should a fine calibration be performed
The system must be fine calibrated under the following circumstance:
•
Any parts that affecting the calibration position is replaced.
•
During the first commissioning.
•
After any maintenance operation which might affect the position accuracy.
The fine calibration should only be performed by a qualified service engineer. For

function, position can be precisely measured by external
measuring system. The complete process is handled with user wizard.
Define additional views to be allowed when starting a RAPID program in manual
mode with following procedures.
