3.1 Introduction
General
This chapter describes how to unpack, install and commission the GWT C9. Always
read this introduction before handling the welding gun.
Safety information
Before any handling of the GWT C9 it is extremely important that all safety
information is observed! There are general safety aspects that must be read through,
as well as more specific safety information that describe danger and safety risks
when performing the procedures. Always read the chapter

Precautions before unpacking and installation
The precautions below should be observed before proceeding with unpacking and
installation of the GWT C9.
CAUTION
•
Make sure that only qualified installation personnel conforming to all national
and local codes are allowed to perform the installation.
•
Make sure that the GWT C9 has not been damaged, by visual inspection.
•
Make sure that the lifting device to be used is dimensioned to handle the
weight of the GWT C9. See actual weight of the GWT C9 in the test protocol,
delivered together with the complete welding gun documentation.

If the GWT C9 is not to be installed directly, it must be stored according to
