Configuration design types
A Fan Coil unit can be configured as a compact device or a modular
installation device:

Compact devices:
These are supplied with enclosures and are available
as self-contained units for wall or ceiling mounting.

Modular installation devices:
These have no enclosures and are
mounted in the wall, in the ceiling or in the floor. The air is blown into the
room through a grill.
Air supply
Fan Coil units are available as recirculation or a mixed air devices.

Recirculation devices
: The room air is directed past heat exchangers
by the fans.
x
Mixed air devices
: The room air is mixed with fresh air.
The mixing ratio between re-circulated and fresh air can usually
be adjusted.
3.2
Parameters
The parameterisation of the Fan Coil-Actuator is implemented using the
Engineering Tool Software ETS from version ETS2 V1.3 or higher.
The user program can be found in the ETS2 / ETS3 at
ABB/Heating, Cooling, Blower/Fan Coil Actuator 1-fold.
The following chapter describes the parameters of the RM/S 2.1 using the
parameter windows. The parameter window features a dynamic structure so
that further parameters may be enabled depending on the parameterisation
and the function of the outputs.
The default values of the parameters are underlined,
