2 Installation and commissioning
2.1 Introduction
General
This chapter contains assembly instructions and information for installing the IRB
4600 Foundry Prime at the working site.
More detailed technical data can be found in the
Product specification
for the IRB
4600 Foundry Prime, such as:

Load diagram
•
Permitted extra loads (equipment), if any
•
Location of extra loads (equipment), if any.
Safety information
Before any installation work is commenced, it is extremely important that all safety
information is observed.
There are general safety aspects that must be read through, as well as more specific
safety information that describes the danger and safety risks when performing the
procedures. Read the chapter
before performing any installation
work.
Note
If the IRB 4600 Foundry Prime is connected to power, always make sure that the
robot is connected to protective earth before starting any installation work.
