Use this procedure to inspect the rectangular rails.

Use a lint free cloth.
•
Lubricate the rectangular rails after
cleaning.
WARNING
The grease used causes serious eye irrita-
tion and may cause an allergic skin reac-
tion.
Inspect the rectangular rails for contamina-
tion and clean if necessary.

If wear or damage is detected, replace all
rectangular rails on the concerned side.
Always lubricate new rectangular rails.
Check the guide surface of the rectangular
rails for damages or wear.
•
If visual wear is detected, use a fin-
ger to feel the surface in the roller
races.
•
If roughness or uneven surfaces in
the roller races are found, the rectan-
gular rails needs to be replaced.
•
Wear or uneven surfaces outside the
roller races are not critical to achieve
function.
Worn out or damaged rails can be caused
by the robot stopping occasionally with
overload in the track axis.
