1.9 Safety during troubleshooting
General
When troubleshooting requires work with power switched on, special considerations
must be taken:
•
Safety circuits might be muted or disconnected.
•
Electrical parts must be considered as
live
.
•
The product can move unexpectedly at any time.
DANGER
Troubleshooting on the controller while powered on must be performed by
personnel trained by ABB or by ABB field engineers.
A risk assessment must be done to address both product and robot system specific
hazards.
WARNING
Hazards due to the use of brake release devices and/or gravity beneath the
manipulator shall be considered.
Product may perform unexpected limited movement.
WARNING
Manipulator movements can cause serious injuries on users and may damage
equipment.
