Multiple Master in Modbus TCP applications

 

The Digital Gateway offers the possibility to support up to 4 MODBUS TCP masters. This 
function can only be utilized if also the PCS or PLC MODBUS master supports such configura-
tion.

 

 

7.6.

 

Failsafe

 

In circumstances where a disturbance in the MODBUS communication network needs to be 
monitored it is possible to select a ‘Failsafe’ state for each M10x. This state must be        de-
fined as a parameter for each M10x

 separately. The Digital Gateway supervises the MODBUS 

communication to the PCS or PLC if the parameter PLC Time Out is set to “YES”. The timeout 
for this connection is set by using the parameter PLC Time Out (see Table 13 and 14 for initial 
values).

 

 

 

The M10x must be operating in ‘Remote’ mode for the Failsafe function to be       

 

 active.
