Circuit breaker failure protection function
Three arc protection ARCSARC1...3 stages are included as an optional function. The
arc protection offers individual function blocks for three arc sensors that can be
connected to the relay. Each arc protection function block has two different operation
modes, that is, with or without the phase and residual current check.
The operating signals from ARCSARC1...3 are connected to both generator circuit
breaker trip logic TRPPTRC1 and TRPPTRC2 and also to field excitation circuit
breaker trip logic TRPPTRC6. If the relay has been ordered with high speed binary
outputs, the individual operating signals from ARCSARC1...3 are connected to
dedicated trip logic TRPPTRC3...5. The output of TRPPTRC3...5 is available at high
speed outputs X110:HSO1, X110:HSO2 and X110:HSO3.
