Each IED must have its own earth lead connected to the earth circuit
connector.
2.
Connect the earth lead to the earth bar.
3.
Thread the copper cable on the protective earth pin.
4.
Tighten the nut on the protective earth pin.
5.
Support the earth lead so that it cannot break or weaken.
Observe the situations for mechanical, chemical or electrochemical reasons.

Connecting analog signals
GUID-849B07E3-29B5-4384-A406-28E867FA9B17 v1
A connection diagram is needed to connect the analog signals.
Use the compression type for CT/VT terminals.
The wires for the analog signals can be connected to the CT/VT terminals before the
connector is connected to the IED. The connector features an automatic short-circuit
mechanism for the current terminals. Therefore, detaching the connector from the unit will not
open the secondary circuit of the CT which otherwise could cause dangerously high voltages.
To avoid a mismatch between CT and VT connections the connectors are ‘pre-coded’.
