5.5.1
Communication requirements

A PDH telecommunication network set-up can be done via 64 kbit/s C37.94 interface to
transceiver type 21-216.
There is a short delay in alarm time, typically 100 ms, for a communication fail in the relay, and
it is derived from the dependability of the line differential protection function. This requires a
high quality communication system as defined in Appendix
